About Us
Best Carolina DJ | Mobile DJ Service Based in Columbia, SC
Meet DJ Mike Siomacco
While I’ve lived in the Columbia, SC area for over 14 years now, I’ve actually been in the entertainment business since 1978.
I studied music at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a minor in Jazz Composition. I’ve played bass guitar and lead vocals with a variety of bands including Altered States, Leisure, and performed with top acts such as Black & Blue and a Las Vegas show revue called The Galaxy of Stars. Since leaving the music industry full time I have performed with many local bands in the surrounding Charlotte & Columbia areas. While I don’t currently perform with live bands anymore, I still like to express my musical talents through my mobile DJ business which I’ve been doing for over 10 years now.
I specialize in weddings, proms, corporate events and sweet 16 parties but also do many graduation, birthdays and social events. Please take the time to search my website and call or email me if you need additional information.
God bless,
DJ Mike

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have my date available?
The quickest way to find out if your event date is still available is to call or email me. If for some reason your event date is not available, I will refer you to other quality DJs in the area.
Are you bonded?
Yes! I am fully bonded and can provide proof.
What are your prices?
Instead of looking for the lowest price try looking for the best value. Before I can give you a quote, I will need some questions answered; such as event type, venue location, length of time needed, karaoke, etc. You can get a fast quote by filling out my online form. I will try to work with you regardless of what your budget is. Just keep in mind you don’t want to trust your memories to the lowest bidder! Additionally, I offer discounted prices for Lexington/Richland School District Five–please call for details.
What is your experience?
I have been in the entertainment business since 1978. Experience should be one of your top priorities when looking for a DJ. Most events have many formalities and details which I am familiar with.
How will you coordinate my wedding reception?
Keep in mind your wedding reception is considered an entertainment function. I have the skill to guide your reception from beginning to end. With the help of my Reception Planner, every detail is finalized prior to your reception day in hopes of eliminating any confusion. I also work closely with your other wedding vendors coordinating details with them.
What will you wear?
It depends on the event. If you are hosting a wedding reception or prom, my dress will probably be formal attire. I can compliment your event by dressing in a Tuxedo, or whatever attire you desire. Should your event be more casual (i.e.,birthday/pool party), I wear a professional looking polo shirt with my logo on the front.
What kind of music do you offer
Some events and every wedding have guests with a wide range of ages. I have the music to satisfy most musical requests regardless of age. I also have the skill to read the crowd and to play the correct type of music appropriate for all of your guests.
My music database includes music from the Big Band Era, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Beach, Motown, Jazz, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, R&B, Rap, Hip Hop, Country, Oldies, Disco and today’s hot Top 40. I am constantly updating my database to make sure I am current, as well as searching out those older songs we all know and love.
Are you a member of any associations?
Yes, I am a member of the American Disc Jockey Association and the Columbia Bridal Association.
Do you take requests and will you use discretion?
Yes, requests will be accepted within your defined guidelines. Because a wedding reception is a family event appropriate music will be played for all ages. Music for proms will be approved before the event date with the prom committee and/or principal. Additionally, all my music is a clean edit or what you would hear on the radio. I never play music containing explicit language! However even music on the radio can at times be offensive to some therefore, before showing up at your event, you can be sure I’ll go over all your musical tastes to make sure we are both on the same page. If for some reason I don’t have a certain song in our database, I will make every effort to obtain the song for you prior to your event.
Is your equipment professional?
I take great pride in how my equipment looks and sounds. Every client, regardless of number of guests, receives a dazzling, commercial quality sound and lighting system. Younger people love our light show as it can give a party a “club like” appearance. Some of our professional gear includes: Crown, Numark, Shure, JBL, Mackie, QSC, T-Rex, Pioneer and more.
Set-up and take-down…
I will be setup and dressed in appropriate attire prior to your guests’ first arrival. I also provide 30 minutes of unattended dinner music at no additional charge. For each event I require a minimum of 1 hour to set up and 1 hour to breakdown. You will not be charged for this additional time but the venue needs to know this.
What are your references?
Please see some of my testimonials here. I can also provide references from prior clients if requested.
We require a contract…
My contract for services details what I provide as well as any requirements from you (such as space and electricity needs). My contract will also detail what will happen if for some unforeseen reason I am unable to perform at your event. I always have a backup plan before your event date and not on the day of! After I have all your details I will send you two contracts. I ask that you sign both copies of the contract retaining one for your files and returning the other with your reservation fee. I need this reservation fee and contract in order to reserve your event date. This reservation fee is deducted from your total performance fee quoted. The remainder of the performance fee is due 2 weeks prior to your event date.
