October 2013 Wedding at EdVenture Museum

Rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last.

As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! We can thank Hindu traditions for this belief.

Well I am not one for superstitions, but I do wear the same jersey and hat every time my favorite football team plays so I guess you could say that I am. If that is the case then Melissa & Stephen’s marriage will last forever. The rain came down all day long and we where hoping to have the reception on the beautiful patio at the EdVenture Museum, but early that afternoon the game plan changed and it was moved inside.

The DJ set up right under Eddie the 40 foot tall plastic boy that kids and adults could climb into and discover how the body works. The evening still went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time. The children that attended the wedding and reception had an extra treat with Eddie and all of the other interactive exhibits. I even believe some of the adults had their share of fun with the exhibits too. Just before the bride and groom arrived the rain stopped for their grand entrance and the party started.
